ATA Scientific, established 34 years ago, specialises in selling and servicing scientific instruments throughout Australia and New Zealand.
 

We are looking for a sales engineer to promote our range of advanced surface characterisation instruments. This is a multi-skilled role combining sales, application support and training operators.

Required Qualifications. 
Degree in a chemistry discipline involving interfacial chemistry and the characterisation of particles, powders and catalysts.  
Several years of practical experience in laboratory and analytical procedures.
Experience in the use of scientific/analytical instruments. 
A careful listener to be able to understand customers applications and requirements.  
An excellent command of written and spoken English.
Good presentation skills with the ability to conduct training courses.
Computer skills in both office and technical software systems.
Valid motor car license.
Ability to travel occasionally interstate and overseas.
Citizen of Australia with current Australian passport or Permanent resident with a visa with minimum of 3 years of unlimited return into Australia.

Initially there will be a lot to learn and as we are involved with rapidly evolving technology the learning is on-going. If you enjoy learning and working in the scientific community then you will enjoy this position. There will be a high degree of autonomy, however it is also important that you also like working within a small team. As well as having the above Qualifications you will need to be methodical and accurate at reporting and record keeping.

Location.     
Office Laboratory and workshop are located in Taren Point, Sutherland Shire, Sydney. You must reside within a reasonable commuting distance, preferably less than 45 minutes. 

Remuneration
A package to attract the right person, including salary, Company car, superannuation, and expenses. There will be the statutory probationary period.

Interviews – commencing time. 
Interviews will be conducted early May 2024. Commencing time is flexible, preferably within a couple of months.
