On-line registration by secure server is the preferred method of registration. Please click the "secure online registration" button.

Online payment can be accepted by Visa or Mastercard only – please note that American Express and Diners payments cannot be accepted. Confirmation of payment will be sent by e-mail. Electronic Fund Transfers cannot be accepted.

Registration may also be paid offline by mail or fax: Please download the registration form. A separate registration form for honours students only (see special rates below) can be downloaded from here. However, electronic registration is also the preferred method of registration. This should then be completed and mailed or faxed to the OzBio2010 Secretariat (details on the form) together with payment of fees. Offline payment can be accepted by Visa, Mastercard, personal cheque (Australian residents only) or by an International Bank Draft in Australian dollars. Please note that we cannot accept payment by Amex, Diners or Electronic Fund Transfers.

Australia has a Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%. Overseas delegates are not exempt from paying this tax. This tax is included in costings for all registration fees, hotel tariffs, social events and tour activities.

Entitlements for full-time delegates

  • Access to all scientific sessions, exhibition and poster area
  • One ticket to the welcome reception on Monday evening.
  • Subsidized ticket to the cocktail hour on Tuesday evening.
  • Conference satchel including Final Program, Mini Program and CD-ROM of abstracts.
  • Morning and afternoon coffee breaks on each day of the Conference.
  • Lunches from Monday through to Thursday.
  • Admission to the biotechnology, education and career development workshops to be held on the Friday afternoon after completion of the main Conference.

Entitlements for day delegates

  • Access to scientific sessions, exhibition and poster area on day of registration
  • Conference satchel including Final Program, Mini Program and CD-ROM of abstracts.
  • Morning and afternoon coffee breaks on day of registration.
  • Lunch on day of registration.
  • Day registrants on the Friday also have admission to the biotechnology, education and career development workshops to be held in the afternoon.

Tickets for social events and sightseeing tours should be ordered on the Conference Registration Form.

Acknowledgement and Conference Materials

Registration payments and hotel reservations will be confirmed in writing by the Conference Secretariat. The Final Program, Mini Program and CD-ROM will be included in the Conference satchel available at the registration desk on arrival. The Conference website will be continuously updated with program details.

Abstract Book

The Conference abstracts will be available online at least 30 days prior to the conference. A CD-ROM with all Conference abstracts will be included in the Conference satchel. A printed version of the abstract book is not available.

REGISTRATION DESK

The registration desk will be located outside the Exhibition Hall until Friday morning, when it will move to a foyer on the second floor. The desk will be open at the following times:

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Secretariat. Cancellations prior to 12 July 2010 will be refunded, but will incur an administration fee of A$120.00. There will be no refunds after 12 July 2010. Substitute delegates will be accepted.

LIABILITY

In case of industrial disruption, the OzBio2010 Local Organising Committee accept no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by participants. If, for reasons beyond the control of the organisers, the conference is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred.

PRIVACY

Personal information, as defined under the national privacy legislation, The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2001, will be treated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles and only shared with related or third parties in accordance with those principles. Please complete the section of the registration form relating to privacy if you do not wish your personal information to be included in the Participant List to be distributed to participants and exhibitors at the meeting on CD-ROM, in PDF format.

Overseas registrants who have paid a registration fee, may request official letters of invitation through the Secretariat.
