Satellite Meetings

International Workshop on Plant Membrane Biology

National Wine Centre, Adelaide, South Australia

19th-24th September 2010
IWMPB2010 is proud to be a satellite meeting to OZBIO2010. The IWPMB2010 will be held in Adelaide, South Australian and registration is now open and available at www.adelaide.edu.au/iwpmb2010/rego/.
Held triennially, IWPMB is the premier international conference for all those interested in processes related to plant membranes. Over the last 45 years, IWPMB has provided a forum for healthy scientific discussion and the exchange of ideas, for the leaders in the field through to new postgraduate students. Whilst presenting their own latest findings, our plenary speakers will also provide a brief overview of recent advances in their particular field of research. We look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide following the successful meeting in Melbourne for OZBIO2010.

Metabolic Efficiency Satellite Symposium of OzBio 2010

23rd and 24th September 2010, Melbourne.

The aims of this satellite symposium are to better understand and exploit a fundamental concept of life – energy acquisition, storage and use. The cross-species approach we are encouraging will provide unique insights into the core principles of metabolic regulation that impact many human diseases as well as sustainability of our food supply.

An excellent line up of speakers has been confirmed including Michael Cowley, David James, Caroline McMillen, Bruce Kemp, Stephen Simpson, Mark Morrison, Mark Febbraio, George Muscat, Wayne Pitchford and others. Additional speakers to be selected from Abstracts. Poster opportunities are also available. Registration and further information available soon at www.csiro.au/events/Metabolic-Efficiency.html
