The ASBMB aims to promote a culture of inclusion and equity. Members of any gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, disability, religion or age are encouraged and welcomed to participate. The Society is committed to supporting diversity in all of its activities, including diversity in membership, leadership, recognition and outreach.
The ASBMB Executive and Council endeavour to achieve balance and equity through equal female and male representation on both committees, and in participation at the annual conference (conference chairs and organising committee, invited speakers, talks, session chairs, etc). The ASBMB aims to include a balance of women and men in material that promotes the Society including the Society website.
