The Education Special Interest Group (SIG) of the ASBMB was established to promote teaching, learning, research and its dissemination in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) Education. Specifically, the focus of the SIG is to:
• Explore and disseminate advances in BMB education, such as sharing ideas for engaging students and supporting diversity, alongside the development of innovative classes (including workshops, lectures and practicals), and authentic and robust assessment practices
• Build a network of educators and researchers who are passionate about advancing BMB education
• Support academics in all stages of their career in BMB teaching and learning activities, with a focus on early career academics
• Foster research collaborations in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) in BMB.
